What whatttt, we’re halfway to Friday! Let’s take a break from the work week with some retail therapy. A few minutes glancing back at some of our favorites can’t hurt, can it?
We hope the rest of your week is great! xoContinue Reading
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Those without a Nordstrom card, that is… The Anniversary Sale is *finally* live to the public!
If you haven’t heard, this epic sale includes all new items that are already marked down. Basically what we all dream of, right? Anyway, it’s the perfect time to stock up on basic and classic pieces and maybe a little splurge here and there?
While we obviously love the fashion pieces associated with this sale, we also gravitated to the home items! They’re good, y’all.
See below to shop our picks. Hope you love them as much as we do!
PS Stay tuned to our instagram where we will be sharing tons of our other sale picks today and through the weekend.
It’s here… The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has begun!
The low down: It may be 1000 degrees outside, but let’s shift into fall/winter mode. The Anniversary Sale is when you score your go-to pieces at majorly discounted prices. It may seem silly to buy early, but trust us. Totally worth it. #frugal
Timeline: July 13 | Early access begins (This is for Nordstrom card holders only!) July 20 | Last day of early access July 21 | Public access begins August 6 | Last day of sale.
It’s Tuesday – back to the GRIND. We’ll be sharing some super cute stuff with you on Insta later this week, but in the meantime, these outfits from the last few weeks deserve a second look!
One-shoulder, ruffles, stripes…this sweet little top checked all my boxes. I’m wearing the black/white version, but it also comes in blue/white. It was sold out for a while, but now it’s been restocked in all sizes! I paired it with black Spanx denim leggings (yes, I’m still wearing them – they are super comfy, even in this insane heat!), my favorite tassel wedges and beaded tassel earrings, which come in tons of different colors. You can shop Joe’s little Sperry topsiders here.
It has rained literally EVERY DAY this summer – and every single day – it’s forced me to up my rainy-day outfit game. I love this embroidered baseball hat from Dish (I’m also feeling this satin one from Forever 21, which is super similar!), and this lightweight camo jacket has become my go-to layer. It’s under $40 and is stocked in all sizes! I’ve been wearing these TOMS Memphis sunnies for over two years. They fit my face perfectly (no bending or molding necessary), and they never slide off my ears. These come in a bunch of cool color combos; the tortoise ones like mine are on major sale right now!
The Joes and I spent a weekend in Atlanta, doing some tourist-y things, hanging out with Jennifer, Jay and James and attending the christening of our sweet friend Corinna’s daughter Quinn. Little Joe broke hearts in his pink shorts and blazer (his is from Janie & Jack, and I couldn’t find it online…this one from J Crew is similar). Click the photo for the other details, including a few options for his Vineyard Vines shirt.
Just in time for the Fourth, Jennifer’s fave red and white striped off-shoulder top went on sale.
Speaking of the Fourth…this white BCBGeneration romper had just arrived at Sole, striking the perfect dressy/casual note. I added a simple blue envelope clutch and these red tassel earrings (get on my level! tassels are the best!), which come in black and dusty rose as well.
Even though I didn’t travel for the Fourth, my favorite graphic tote got a workout. My holiday weekend essentials: navy lace-up tank, red stripe relaxed fit tank, white bandeau bikini top, bikini bottom, brush-on sunscreen and striped straws. Because how else would I drink my wine?
Hope you all have a great week! xo
GOODNESS, you guys. I know I begin every post this way…but we have had a LOT going on. It’s hard for a girl to find the time to post! On top of our usual work and family commitments, Jennifer and I spent last weekend in Atlanta, buying fall inventory for Sole and Dish, taste-testing tacos and perfecting our frose recipe. Here’s a look at the styles and products we’ve been loving lately…
It feels like it has been raining for weeks, and there is no end in sight. Humid temperatures mean I’m pairing my trusty Hunter boots with my favorite Free People cut-offs and this $13 striped tank (which I also bought in solid white and olive because the fit is just so perfect).
Looking to add a pop of color to your outfit? Jennifer’s SUGARFIX by BaubleBar beaded tassel earrings are only $12 and come in tons of colors.
These gladiator sandals are one of my favorite finds this summer. They’re so comfy and the print is adorable. Plus they’re on sale right now for under $30!
Last Friday, Jennifer and I celebrated National Rose Eve (that’s a thing, I promise) by going to Superica in some of our favorite items. No, we did not dress alike on purpose. Our tops are sold out, but you can still shop our denim and our totes. On Jennifer: Blank NYC white denim (these run small, so size up!) // Louis Vuitton tote. On me: Spanx black denim // Tory Burch tote.
Next morning we headed to AmericasMart to buy some fall pretties for my boutiques Sole and Dish. In honor of National Rose Day (I told you, it’s a real thing), I schlepped all my stuff in this Old Navy tote. Oh, and now it’s on sale for $8. You’ll spend more on your bottle of rose!
Great minds think alike…we both bought these fun sleep shorts and wore them Saturday night. UNPLANNED. I went preppy with pink with green leopards, and Jennifer stuck with her siganture palm print. Both prints are still available in all sizes.
I’ve been crazy busy playing catch-up, and I always seem to work better when I’m dressed for battle. This combo is my go-to: BCBGeneration blazer (also comes in white, paired with that Old Navy tank from up top, in white) // Blank NYC skinnies // suede heels (these are similar, and these are the dream version of mine). My clutch is sold out, but this BP one at Nordstrom is super similar, under $50 and ships free!
Follow along and share your outfits with us on Instagram @glitter_blog_xo. Happy hump day, everyone!
PS – If this crazy summer weather is wreaking havoc on your skin, you should try Jennifer’s favorite Kate Somerville products. Click thie photo to shop them all!
We are SERIOUSLY feeling shoes featuring girly bows right now. No matter what your preferred silhouette – pump, sandal, or flat – there’s a bow for that. These cute styles are perfection!
Closed-toe styles are so 50s-feminine. We love them paired with skinny pants for the office or a full midi-length skirt for evening.
Slides and mules are BACK, and these bow styles are EVERYTHING. Depending on the heel height and width, these can skew casual or dressy.
We came to party! These adorbs sandals will elevate the simplest dress to soiree-worthy.

Happy MONDAY – welcome to a five-day week. Yay? I’m teaching Vacation Bible School all this week, so you may not see me much…but Jennifer is ready with lots of cute Insta posts! In the meantime, here’s a look back at our week…
Jennifer and Jay celebrated Baby James’ first birthday last weekend. Jennifer has promised to share party details soon, but in the meantime you can check out her swim look: one-shoulder top // bottom // sunnies // similar sunnies.
Tuesday and Wednesday were a bit of a struggle. Vacations are nice, but there’s so much to do when you return to the real world! Also, RAIN. My Wednesday look says it all: comfy basics (my fave striped tee and these cute pull-on Madewell shorts) + coffee + trusty ball cap. My hat is from Dish comes in tons of colors – this one from Kohl’s is similar.
Brunch is the most important meal of the day, so when Jennifer’s al fresco Sunday brunch was rained out yesterday, she just moved it inside. Honestly, I would have eaten outside in the rain if it meant using this amazing table setting! Palm print and gold flatware and beaded plates, oh my.
So, something exciting happened last week – my boys and I were on the cover of Moments Magazine! We had a blast shooting the cover, even though it was a challenge to get both boys to look in the same direction at the same time – witness my death-grip on Ed. I was flattered to be featured, and Joe and I are grateful for the opportunity to share our family’s story. You can read the article via ISSU here.
I’m wearing my favorite bandeau swim top from Target (shop both pieces here), tassel earrings (see more of our fave tassel earrings here) and Toms Memphis sunglasses. The boys’ matching red Prodoh shorts are from local Statesboro store Bellies, Babies and Ballerinas.
Hope everyone has an amazing week – catch us on Insta! xo

Have you guys recovered from the long weekend? Ours was glorious…but Tuesday hit us like a ton of Monday-sized bricks. After struggling yesterday, we’re back in the game today. We put a few items to the test last week – read on for the deets.
Jennifer and Jay traveled to Vegas last week, and as you probably know that East Coast-to-almost-West Coast flight is BRUTAL. A cocktail and this H&M comfy striped button-down (paired with Blank NYC white denim – of course) made the flight a little more bearable. The top comes in a few more colors/prints!
Poolside, Jennifer mixed high (classic Jack Rogers sandals – there’s also a wedge version) with a sweet little scalloped bikini top and bottom from Target and a palm print over-up from Old Navy. That’s our style – mixing cute, inexpensive pieces with our fave classic stand-bys.
Back in Georgia, baby Joe graduated from kindergarten! Yes, I’m still going to refer to him “Baby Joe”. And yes, I wore my comfiest basics because sitting on gymnasium bleachers for an hour is no joke. This BCBGeneration cold-shoulder top (re-stocked in all sizes!!), Spanx black denim leggings (also seen here, and virtually once a week), and Coconuts by Matisse ankle-wrap wedges have been on repeat since spring.
The Joes and I didn’t go ANYWHERE for Memorial Day weekend, and it was magical. Sometimes relaxing at home is the best way to recharge. We did have a few friends over for a pool party Saturday night, and this striped bikini top and bottom from Target got a lot of compliments. As I’m writing this post, all sizes are still available! I love how the top feels so secure, and it’s true to size. The bottoms are not as cheeky as most styles right now – I probably could have sized down, but with two kids…better safe than sorry. Also, have you guys tried this SPF 30 Brush On Block yet? It’s a truly genius product – you just twist the brush and a translucent SPF powder materializes on the brush. No greasy sunscreen lotion getting in your eyes, no kids coughing exaggeratedly “ughhhhh it’s in my mouth!!!!” as you spray them. Wait, are mine are the only ones that do that? Seriously, try it.
This flamingo pool float is EVERYTHING. I *hate* floats that don’t keep you above water – if I wanted to get wet, I would SWIM. -_- This giant pink beauty keeps me suspended above the water and provides plenty of room to relax. I do recommend using an air compressor or similar-ish thingy (idk what they’re called, I’m not a scientist) to inflate it. Don’t ask me how I know.
On Memorial Day, Jennifer sipped a few margs in this adorable striped off-shoulder top. It comes in petite AND tall and – unbelievably! – it’s under $20. You’ll have plenty of money left over for queso.
We’ve got tons of cute stuff planned for the next few weeks. Follow along on Instagram and tag us in your own pics!
Four straight days of rain drove us to do some serious online shopping this week – but it was mostly putting stuff in our carts and saving for later (hehe). Lucky for us, the Memorial Day Sale at Lulu & Georgia has come along just in time. We’re about to process all our faves and save 25%! Check out what we’re rolling with:
This Moroccan-ish rug is perfect in just about any room: nursery, master, or den.
Love the shagreen finish and brass legs on this end table.
This rose gold side chair is going at the desk in my bedroom.
I have been coveting these cognac velvet arm chairs for foreverrrrrr.
True confession: I am obsessed with palm print and already have a pair of these pillow on my living room couch (though I might move them to my pool area for the summer). You need them, too!
A family of four has a lot of STUFF to corral, so I am always buying baskets. I have at least one in every room! This one is so pretty and will go a long way towards making our TV den look less…brown. More about that room makeover later this summer!
And finally, this little bud vase will be so pretty on a bedside table.
