Same day, a few hours south…Joe and I were at brunch (read the post here). Joe’s AFTCO shorts are from my friend Whitney’s boutique Wrens. He has these in several colors – they hold up great and I love the length. You can call Wrens at 478-268-4728 to order, or click here to order directly from AFTCO. Joe has been wearing classic New Balance sneakers since he could walk – they are the best sneakers you’ll ever buy. I have saved every pair for Ed. As hard as Joe plays, he always outgrows his before they wear out. They come in infant sizes as well. Solid purchase!
Fast forward to Easter weekend…(because apparently we wore nothing interesting during the week!)…
Jennifer and Jay spent James’ first Easter at Reynolds Plantation. Jennifer’s white dress is sold out, but this one is super similar.
My husband and I (along with some MAJOR help from my in-laws and some very good friends!) hosted our annual egg hunt on Saturday. We started when Joe Jr. was just 6 months old, and it’s hard to believe that this was our seventh one! It seems to get bigger every year – this year we had 70 adults and 60 kids. That’s a lot of mimosas and pimiento cheese sandwhiches, yall. You can shop Ed’s Minnetonka moccasins at Sole, or you can shop them on Zappos here.
An Easter miracle happened in the Lanier family on Sunday morning. We actually got out of the house – fully clothed, with no yelling and no tears – and made it to church in time to take a photo. I got tons of compliments on my drop-waist dress, and little Joe was looking especially dapper in his bow tie from my friend Ryan’s store Bellies, Babies and Ballerinas (you can follow them on Instagram and comment to purchase!).
In my quest to spend some quality time with both of my boys, I’ve been taking them (separately, because I’m not a crazy person) to brunch on Saturdays. Mama time for them and a mimosa for me – everybody wins! My no-fail brunch look includes this adorable ruffle top (also comes in black!), my trusty Spanx denim leggings (which always fit no matter how many crepes I eat!) and my favorite Madewell denim jacket, because the temps have been varying wildly down here…and what’s the point of brunch if you can’t sit outside? We also like to do a little walking around downtown afterwards, so I always wear wedges. These Toms watercolor wedges are my current favorite.
We’ve got a Masters hangover (please tell us you guys watched – it was incredible!) and can’t really deal with Monday yet, so let’s review our looks from last week. You guys showed us a lot of love on Insta – thanks so much!!
My faux-suede baseball cap is from my boutique Dish and comes in tons of colors. You can order it here (psssst use discount code GLITTER at checkout and get 10% off your entire order!).
Tag us in your outfits on Instagram – we’d love to see what you’re wearing! Have a great week! xo
Happy Friday! Today we’ve got golf tournament attire on the brain. Next week is Masters Week, and we’re always excited for this storied tournament in our shared home town of Augusta. Of course, the big question is always…WHAT ARE WE WEARING? It’s important to be respectful of golf tradition, but – of course – we also want to be comfy and cute. We love a skort or skinnies paired with a simple polo or shell. And unless you plan to sit in the clubhouse all day (come on, don’t do that!), comfy kicks, oversized sunnies and a cross-body bag are key. Here are our two favorite looks.
When I was pregnant, my skin was absolutely terrible. There was nothing I could do to control it. Hormones running wild = bad skin for Jennifer.
After James was born, things started to get back to normal and I was ready to rehab my skin with new products. I started reading up on my skincare options and saw SO many recommendations for Sunday Riley! I scooped this sample pack and decided to give them a whirl.
You guys. Blown away. From the first time I used each product, I saw instant results. My skin was clearer and smoother. With continued use, I can honestly say I have had minimal breakouts which is a vast change from before.
My skin is on the drier side and I felt like I needed a little something extra, so I scooped the Juno face oil and needless to say, it did not disappoint. I use it every morning. FULL DISCLOSURE: It smells like olive oil. But it works, so what do you do.
Spring has sprung, and the best part is that we’re finally able to wear the spring styles we’ve been dying for. Here’s a peek at our outfits lately – you can shop pretty much everything on our new Shop With Us page, or click on each photo for the details. Enjoy!
Hello, spring! After two weeks of unseasonably freezing temps, it’s beginning to warm up again. The weather has us in the mood to entertain, so we’re sharing our spring party essentials today. Because who’s not in the mood to throw a little party at home?
Ice down beer and wine in a blue and white planter. Mine is on loan (permanently? eek) from my mother-in-law, but this one is super similar.
Display glassware and cocktail napkins (these and these from H&M are adorable and stupid cheap) on a pewter tray. I received this one as a wedding gift almost twelve years ago – it’s still available on Wayfair! – and we also like this simple one. A reptile tray would add sophisticated texture to a lacquered table, and this cute little pineapple tray is perfect for a cheeseball and crackers.
Speaking of tonight, Jennifer, Jay and baby James are on their way to Statesboro as we speak. We’re all excited for the Schenkel Invitational Golf Tournament this weekend, which is happening right next door. We’ll be taking pics (hopefully less grainy than the above – the photo struggle is real!), so follow us on Insta to get in on the fun. Happy Friday, and try not to get pinched!
