travel outfit

outfit roundup.

Last week was packed with travel and work meetings, and I’m still playing catch-up. The downside is that I am exhausted. The bright side is that I scooped a few new transitional items I know I’ll be wearing all spring. Here’s a look back:

Funnel Neck Look
casual style for a longggg day of traveling

Joe and I had an almost-full day of travel last Thursday that dovetailed immediately into a meet-and-greet event, with no time to change in between. Knowing that we wouldn’t have any downtime, I chose my travel outfit carefully. My knit funnel-neck top is cute, relaxed and absolutely will not wrinkle. I love the elbow-length sleeves, which will work into the spring. My exact top is sold out, but I’ve rounded up several similar styles below (a few of which I’m purchasing as soon as I finish this post!). I’m wearing a new fit from my favorite denim brand Blank NYC – the high-rise skinny. I’ve been waiting for years for Blank to make a high-rise skinny, and I’m pumpppped that I scooped these. Oh and my exact pair is on sale for less than $50 with most sizes in stock!

White Blazer Look
simple outfit for dinner with friends.

We were treated to a bit of warmer weather later in the week, and I wore one of my favorite jeans + blazer combos for dinner with friends. BCBGeneration makes this blazer in tons of colors year after year. The style is so flattering – not boxy at all. I’ve got a few left at Sole Statesboro (on sale!), and you can also buy it here and here.  My Sam Edelman Hazel pumps are on sale in a few colors, including the nude color I’m wearing here. My exact skinny leopard belt is sold out from J Crew Factory, but this one from Gap is super-similar and less than $30. I scooped these Tory Burch studs before our trip last week…because, no reason. Do you ever get that feeling that you just HAVE to have something new for a trip? Er, me neither.

Minnetonka Sneaker Look
mom must-have: comfy, cute sneakers.
I did a separate post about these Minnetonka suede sneakers last week, but I had to include them in this round-up as well because I just can’t stop wearing them. They come in several different colors and have the dreamiest padded insole. I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t feel my best in a blazer and heels…but for those days when I’ve got a ton of errands to run / a soccer game to watch / or just need to feel cute with a minimum of effort, these slip-ons are perfect. I’m also in love with this J. Crew Factory knot-front shirt. I get a new white button-down every year, and this one is my pick for 2018. The fabric is light and linen-y, and the shirttails in front are extra long so you can make the perfect knot. It’s currently on sale for $40! My exact Blank NYC cropped mid-rise skinnies (how cute is the frayed hem??) are sold out right now, so I linked a few other colors in the same fit below.

OPI Black Cherry Chutney
the perfect deep purple.
My nail-color these days is Black Cherry Chutney by OPI. I’ll probably lighten it up in the next few weeks, but for now this feels so right. Do you have a go-to nail color for this time of year? Share it with us on Instagram at @theglitterlifexo!
