(To all of our email subscribers who received an incomplete version of this post on Saturday night…SORRY. Turns out jazz hands are not compatible with an iPad. We’ll stick to blogging from our laptops from now on.)

Happy Monday!

You can’t look at any fashion mag or shop online without seeing oxblood (which is just a creepy way of saying deep burgundy) everything. Trust us, we do a lot of both. Anyway, turns out that, despite its icky name, oxblood is THE color for fall. Here are some our fave ways to wear the shade.

Ann Taylor: Delaney Haircalf Stacked Platform Pump

let's play dress up.

Happy Wednesday, glitter girls!

Halloween is happening one week from today. We know that, like us, you love any excuse to dress up…so J and I compiled this handy list of fashion-inspired costume ideas for yall. Because seriously, what would Leandra Medine say about last year’s “sexy nurse” costume?

For the runway devotee:

Our friends at Who What Wear put together this list of costumes inspired by the fall/winter runway shows. Some are pretty cool, like the Bandito…and others made us laugh. Box of crayons, anyone?

The Matador
brought to you by Moschino FW 2012.
Flapper Girl
flapper girl via Jean Paul Gaultier 12.

For the fashion victim/realty TV addict:

Check out Fashionista‘s list of costumes inspired by folks enjoying a pop culture moment right now: Kimye, Honey Boo Boo, etc.  Most of these are easy and cheap. Coincidence?

Kimye
everyone’s favorite “reality” couple.

For the serious fashionista:

Elevate the sartorial discourse and dress as your favorite fashion insider. So what if half 99% of your fellow party-goers don’t have a clue who you are?

Rachel Zoe
big sunnies + red lip + retro pants + fur (ALWAYS FUR) = rachel zoe. we die!
Bryan Boy
3-D glasses + sparkly jacket + your best blue steel = blogger bryan boy.
Anna Wintour
huge dark glasses + severe haircut + unreadable expression = iconic vogue editor anna wintour.

For us:

J and I won’t be together for Halloween this year. BUT IF WE WERE…we would totally be Patsy and Edina.

Patsy & Edina - Absolutely Fabulous
the ultimate glitter couples costume: patsy and edina from absolutely fabulous.

Well, tell us! What will you be for Halloween?
