shaken or stirred? 🍸

Laura and I live for crafting our bar carts. I try to update mine when the season changes and with SUMMER approaching… I scooped a whole new cart! Which is on sale through today. Under $100…

The Top Shelf

Blooms in your favorite vase (really feeling this + this) | fresh lemons & limes for mix and garnish (displayed in this sleek bowl) | a delicious candle (another favorite) | glassware (obsessed with these stemless champagne flutes) | an ice bucket (NEED this asap) | water pitcher | bottle opener

Booze

Champs on champs on champs. A little white wine to mix it up. Bourbon for the boys and not pictured: brewskies.

weddington way | style challenge.

J: The Weddington Way bridesmaid style challenge couldn’t have come at a better time. As you know, I’m right in the middle of planning a wedding and L is my Matron of Honor! We haven’t started shopping for bridesmaid dresses yet (life is BUSY), so this was a great way to get my wheels turning on what look I’m going for. Behold:

TGL Weddington
nails | dress | handbag | lips | jewels | scent | footwear

Our wedding is at 7PM and black tie optional. This sleek, classic look totally fits the bill. Add a pop of color on the lip and voila! Perfection.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Be sure to check out the latest bridesmaid dresses from Weddington Way here.

friday five.

Ah, Friday…we thought you would never get here! Here’s what we’re wearing/doing/loving for the next forty-eight hours.

1. Nails. We’ve done mint, we’ve done lilac…this weekend we’re rocking this pretty yellow shade. NYC Lexington Yellow is the perfect yellow: not too neon, not too school bus. Sure, this sunny shade screams summer…but we also love it for fall. Picture it with grey, black and cream.

2. Fresh Flowers. Whether you get them from Bi-Lo (L) or the Farmer’s Market (J), fresh flowers make the *biggest* difference at home. Here are some cute ideas you can totally do with a grocery store bouquet.

White Flowers
not too girly, by a city wedding.
Pink Peonies

3. Sweet Treat. Making these Sea Salt Fudge Brownies on Sunday night sure would ease the transition to Monday.

4. Movie. It is so seriously hot right now. Watching Celeste and Jesse Forever in a dark, cool movie theater sounds like a plan, right? Check out this excellent list of movies to see  before Labor Day, brought to you by The Daily Candy. (In Atlanta? Check out Cinebistro in Town Brookhaven! You can’t beat having a glass of wine and a great meal while watching a movie.)
