Hi friends! Can we all agree that January was the longest month ever? We welcomed February with open arms and 😍 because Valentine’s Day is upon us! And who doesn’t love LOVE?
The first step in prepping for Valentine’s Day was to order cards for James’ class. Minted has been my go-to for paper goods since 2013. Save the dates, Christmas cards, VALENTINE’S DAY CARDS. They have the best designs and highest quality products hands down.
Last year was James’ first Valentine’s Day and I wanted to send a little love to his baby class at school. These pouches + berry cards were a huge hit. And let’s take a second to look back at my Valentine one year ago:
We blinked and Baby James is almost 4 months old! He’s the sweetest, happiest little boy (see instagram.)
I was thinking the other day about when I was pregnant and how I would comb pinterest and blogs looking for must-have items for baby. Now that James has arrived, I feel I have recommendations of my own to share! I’m a mom. It’s wild.
We alternate between honest diapers and pampers swaddlers. They both work great for us, but honest diapers aren’t available on amazon. If you don’t have a prime membership, get on that.
Honest wipes are the only way to go. Buy them in bulk at Target.
Okay. Our bathtub. Kind of obsessed with it. The Aquascale 3 in 1 tub tells you the temp of your water before you put baby in, works for infants and toddlers, and the best feature… it has a built in scale. It may sound silly, but we love weighing him at bath time and tracking his growth!
Mustela products are by far the best. I keep their face wipes with me at all times for a quick spit up clean up. The foam shampoo is amazing (and great for clearing up cradle cap!) Just started using the hydra stick for forehead flakes. Game changer.
Swaddles. There are a million available and we bought most of them. WITH THAT, Halo Sleepsack Swaddles win the game. Period. We also used Swaddle Me swaddles prior to discovering Halo and they were good!
J: Ah the pouf. You know you have a chair that could use one. GUESS WHAT. They’re on sale at Land of Nod through 4.18. We scooped the white version for Baby James’ nursery shown below (With my moms dog, Bella. High pony on POINT.) Looking for gold? Silver? MINT? They have those too. FYI: they arrive stuffed. X0
J: Hi. Busy life happening over here. We’ve missed you. Let’s catch up, shall we?
As you know, Jay and I are expecting a little boy in May and we are officially in FULL nursery planning/baby shopping mode. We will do a nursery reveal once we have the furniture installed, but here are a few items I’ve scooped so far:
Curtains: Had. To. Have. These. They’re pretty perfect for basically any room in your home.
Accent Table: A table very similar to this was one of the first purchases I made for the nursery to go next to the glider. Super cute. Great price. Target wins AGAIN.
Animal Heads: I obsessed over finding wall decor for the nursery that wasn’t cheesy. Really difficult task. BEHOLD the most precious white animal heads we came across at Z Gallerie and purchased on the spot.
And now for a few pregnancy must haves…
My girlfriend, Annie turned me on to Mama Mio products and they are nothing short of amazing.
This top. In every color. Perfect for the layering I’ve been doing in the chilly weather. Perfect fit. Super soft.
Still sporting heels on the daily, but these slippers are sweet relief when I get home. And in gold. Naturally.
Promise we won’t stay gone long this time! We have Super Bowl Sunday and Valentine’s Day on the horizon after all!
