Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ’17 | Part 2

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Those without a Nordstrom card, that is… The Anniversary Sale is *finally* live to the public!

If you haven’t heard, this epic sale includes all new items that are already marked down. Basically what we all dream of, right? Anyway, it’s the perfect time to stock up on basic and classic pieces and maybe a little splurge here and there?

While we obviously love the fashion pieces associated with this sale, we also gravitated to the home items! They’re good, y’all.

See below to shop our picks. Hope you love them as much as we do!

PS Stay tuned to our instagram where we will be sharing tons of our other sale picks today and through the weekend.

lately.

It’s Tuesday – back to the GRIND. We’ll be sharing some super cute stuff with you on Insta later this week, but in the meantime, these outfits from the last few weeks deserve a second look!

One Shoulder Striped Ruffle Top
just before I dropped Joe off for a week in Athens // you can tell from our faces that both of us were a little apprehensive about being separated (but he had a GREAT time at camp!)

One-shoulder, ruffles, stripes…this sweet little top checked all my boxes. I’m wearing the black/white version, but it also comes in blue/white. It was sold out for a while, but now it’s been restocked in all sizes! I paired it with blackย Spanx denim leggings (yes, I’m still wearing them – they are super comfy, even in this insane heat!), my favorite tassel wedges and beaded tassel earrings, which come in tons of different colors. You can shop Joe’s little Sperry topsiders here.

Embroidered Hat
smiling because I really love this hat.

It has rained literally EVERY DAY this summer – and every single day – it’s forced me to up my rainy-day outfit game. I love this embroidered baseball hat from Dish (I’m also feelingย this satin oneย from Forever 21, which is super similar!), and this lightweight camo jacket has become my go-to layer. It’s under $40 and is stocked in all sizes! I’ve been wearing these TOMS Memphis sunnies for over two years. They fit my face perfectly (no bending or molding necessary), and they never slide off my ears. These come in a bunch of cool color combos; the tortoise ones like mine are on major sale right now!

little joe
lady killer.

The Joes and I spent a weekend in Atlanta, doing some tourist-y things, hanging out with Jennifer, Jay and James and attending the christening of our sweet friend Corinna’s daughter Quinn. Little Joe broke hearts in his pink shorts and blazer (his is from Janie & Jack, and I couldn’t find it online…this one from J Crew is similar). Click the photo for the other details, including a few options for hisย Vineyard Vines shirt.

Off Shoulder Top
three cheers for the…

Just in time for the Fourth, Jennifer’s fave red and white striped off-shoulder top went on sale.

Speaking of the Fourth…this white BCBGeneration romperย had just arrived at Sole, striking the perfect dressy/casual note. I added a simple blue envelope clutch and these red tassel earrings (get on my level! tassels are the best!), which come in black and dusty rose as well.

Rose Ttote
everything you need, stuffed into the cutest tote bag

Even though I didn’t travel for the Fourth, my favorite graphic tote got a workout. My holiday weekend essentials: navy lace-up tank, red stripe relaxed fit tank,ย white bandeau bikini top, bikini bottom, brush-on sunscreen and striped straws. Because how else would I drink my wine?

Hope you all have a great week! xo

jeffrey fashion cares.

J had the pleasure of attending Jeffrey Fashion Cares on August 31, a charity fashion show founded by Atlanta and New York retailer, Jeffrey Kalinsky. Thisย  show has grown to be one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country. JFC featured gorgeous, high-end looks from Marc Jacobs, Mary Katrantzou, Narciso Rodriguez, Saint Laurent Paris, Christian Louboutin and more. Here are some of J’s shots from the night:

friday five | food diary.

Friday. You are back. And we love you.

If you’re like us, you’re always looking for new restaurants to try over the weekend. Need suggestions in Atlanta? Look no further.

1. C&S Seafood + Oyster Bar: J took cover here Monday night during a legit monsoon and stumbled upon one of the most delicious shrimp cocktails (and actual cocktails) ever.

2. Joey D’s Oak Room: We’ve suggested them before. For a reason. If you’re looking for really GREAT food every visit, Joey D’s is your spot. I mean how delicious does that sandwich look?

3. Home grown GA: Homegrown came HIGHLY recommended by J’s coworker, Bill, mainly because of their award winning sloppy joe. The best part is that the sloppy joe is… wait for it… VEGAN. And amazingly delicious.

4. American Food + Beverage: L and I gave this new Buckhead Atlanta spot a try when she was in town a few weeks ago. LOVE it. Going in for round 2 tonight with some girlfriends. Boiled peanut hummus is definitely on the agenda.

i promise to get a great photo of this tonight, but in the meantime one from @ATLFoodSnob.

5. Turner Field: Okay so this may not be a restaurant BUT the Braves are playing the Cubs in Atlanta this weekend. Take in the game. Share some patriotic dippin dots with your love, but not the wine of course.

friday five | food diary.

J:

Mercy mercy mercy. Friday is finally HERE.

I’ve been sifting through recent iPhone photos and realized I’ve been hoarding #foodpics and resto recommendations. For shame. Let’s catch up, shall we?

The Silver Moon | Lake Oconee: L and I had a girls getaway at Lake Oconee a few weeks ago and shared the most delicious fresh shrimp. It was photo-worthy obviously.

*Note: You may have trouble finding this gem of a restaurant because their sign simply says “Bar and Grill” so keep an eye out.

JCT Kitchen & Bar | Atlanta: You probably saw this gorgeous sight on our instagram page, but I had to give more info because it was THAT good. Steak tartare with a side of fried corn on the cobb. {not pictured MOMO sauvignon blanc}

Joey D’s Oak Room | Atlanta: Keeping with the steak theme… Sometimes a great steak is exactly what you’re looking for. Look no further than Joey D’s Oak Room! Conveniently located across from Perimeter Mall with a bar you MUST see to believe.

Gino’s East Pizzeria | Chicago: After dining here on my last two trips to Chicago, I definitely need to share the best deep dish in town. Gino’s East is exactly what they say it is… legendary. Can’t make it to Chicago? Gino’s will ship a pie directly to your door. #dangerous

FF Ginos

Smith & Wollensky | Chicago: Exactly what a crab cake should be… crab. To die for. And highly recommend dining al fresco.
