You guys. This week has been a little insane. We’ve had photo shoots, work deadlines, meetings galore…plus a few life hiccups, including RAIN literally every single day (which is why you haven’t seen any outfit pics. How many more times can we post about our trusty anoraks and Hunter boots?).
Our cure for a stressful week? Indulging in a little retail therapy. Starting today, you can shop the Black Friday sale on www.shopsoledish.com. Use code BLACKFRIDAY15 and take 25% off everything on the site…from now until November 29! Scoop a sparkly holiday dress or cozy fur vest and watch those cares melt awayyyy….
Know what else helps after a stressful week? Grabbing a drink with a good friend! We’re meeting up in Athens on Saturday for the Georgia / Georgia Southern game. Follow us on Instagram (@glitter_blog_xo) to see our adventures, and if you’re there too tag us in your pics!
You guys know we heart Target – it’s great style at great prices, areweright? Both of us own this Target sequined-collar plaid button-down from two years ago, and we’re bringing it back this season. And since we have Target on the brain, we linked our top picks from Target for fall over on Shop Style. Click this link to shop, or like our photo on Instagram (@glitter_blog_xo) today and you’ll get a shoppable email sent to your inbox. And check out our other posts featuring Target items here and here and here.
This time of year, L can be found wearing a variation of this outfit almost daily: classic striped tee plus a quilted vest. Perfect for the weird weather we’re having right now in the south. Check out our favorites on Shop Style here, or use these links:
L says: The holidays are coming, the holidays are coming! And with them the opportunity to entertain. I’ve had the same white dishes for twelve years now, and they’re looking pretty tired. I’ve been shopping around for a new table-top wardrobe. Here are my favorite combinations:
It’s no secret that the style on the street during Fashion Month is just as interesting and as much of a trend forecaster as what actually comes down the runways. Here are our “best of” picks (pics?) for street style during New York Fashion Week. Of course, a lot of it was weird (*shakes head*)…but a lot of it was pretty great.
As you can see, we’re really feeling the structured, 80s “Working Girl” vibe right now. What #nyfw street style looks tickled your fancy?
You guys. It’s HOT. And L is PREGNANT. What’s she wearing? These pieces are going the distance, from now until her due date in August. From L:
1) Mossimo Supply Kimono Dress – I wore this dress (in heather gray) pretty much every day of the last two months of my first pregnancy. It isn’t maternity, but it’s super bump-friendly. Other selling points: it’s not too short; it has a flattering neckline; the lightweight jersey is perfect for warm (HOTTT) weather. I really needed a new one this time around, and I was not optimistic that Target would still carry this style five years later…BUT IT DOES! So I recently ordered it two more colors (black and zenith teal). Meet my new uniform, at least for the next five weeks.
2) Liz Lange Maternity V-Neck – As you guys know, I’m not a fan of buying maternity clothes unless it’s absolutely necessary. Most of it is SUPER expensive and quite often hideous. But I do really like these Liz Lange v-neck tees. They’re nice and long, the fit is perfect…and they’re cheap enough to toss after you give birth. Bye! I have this tee in black (to pair with these black leggings) and navy/white stripe (to pair with my white Spanx skinnies). I wear both with a huge acid yellow chunky necklace. Distract with accessories!
3) Joe’s Jeans Denim Shorts – I bought these denim shorts (with J!) for my first pregnancy, and I am getting just as much wear out of them the second time around. I pair them with a short sleeve Piko top from Shop Sole Dish (black, grey, royal blue, mint and white available). They weren’t cheap, but I’ve gotten so much wear out of them. Obviously, if I were pregnant in the fall or winter, it might have made more sense to invest in full-length maternity denim.
5) Aerie Boho Bralettes – OMGGGGG. I discovered these lace bralettes a few weeks ago and they’ve been such a game changer. They’re super comfortable to sleep in, and I will definitely wear them post-pregnancy. This style comes in so many great colors – I had to stop myself at three.
We’d love to see your pregnancy style! Tag us in your pics on Instagram @glitter_blog_xo!
