Hello, spring! After two weeks of unseasonably freezing temps, it’s beginning to warm up again. The weather has us in the mood to entertain, so we’re sharing our spring party essentials today. Because who’s not in the mood to throw a little party at home?
Ice down beer and wine in a blue and white planter. Mine is on loan (permanently? eek) from my mother-in-law, but this one is super similar.
Display glassware and cocktail napkins (these and these from H&M are adorable and stupid cheap) on a pewter tray. I received this one as a wedding gift almost twelve years ago – it’s still available on Wayfair! – and we also like this simple one. A reptile tray would add sophisticated texture to a lacquered table, and this cute little pineapple tray is perfect for a cheeseball and crackers.
Speaking of tonight, Jennifer, Jay and baby James are on their way to Statesboro as we speak. We’re all excited for the Schenkel Invitational Golf Tournament this weekend, which is happening right next door. We’ll be taking pics (hopefully less grainy than the above – the photo struggle is real!), so follow us on Insta to get in on the fun. Happy Friday, and try not to get pinched!
Um, hi? It’s been awhile…we’ve been BUSY (see: Baby Ed and Baby James). We’ve got a few things cooking right now, including a revamp of our website. In the meantime, we’re working on posting more regularly.
Supposedly it’s spring…but it’s f-f-freezing in Georgia this week! Not great for those of us wanting to bust out our new spring stuff. The upside is that we’re getting more wear out of our winter pieces, like these amazing Sorel “Cate the Great” boots (they have a hidden wedge heel – so comfy). View all the outfit details here. Or follow us on Insta and use the Emoticode app (what, you don’t have it already?) to view our outfit details in an easy-to-shop format.
We blinked and Baby James is almost 4 months old! He’s the sweetest, happiest little boy (see instagram.)
I was thinking the other day about when I was pregnant and how I would comb pinterest and blogs looking for must-have items for baby. Now that James has arrived, I feel I have recommendations of my own to share! I’m a mom. It’s wild.
We alternate between honest diapers and pampers swaddlers. They both work great for us, but honest diapers aren’t available on amazon. If you don’t have a prime membership, get on that.
Honest wipes are the only way to go. Buy them in bulk at Target.
Okay. Our bathtub. Kind of obsessed with it. The Aquascale 3 in 1 tub tells you the temp of your water before you put baby in, works for infants and toddlers, and the best feature… it has a built in scale. It may sound silly, but we love weighing him at bath time and tracking his growth!
Mustela products are by far the best. I keep their face wipes with me at all times for a quick spit up clean up. The foam shampoo is amazing (and great for clearing up cradle cap!) Just started using the hydra stick for forehead flakes. Game changer.
Swaddles. There are a million available and we bought most of them. WITH THAT, Halo Sleepsack Swaddles win the game. Period. We also used Swaddle Me swaddles prior to discovering Halo and they were good!
So Sunday is Mother’s Day. As a mom and a mom-to-be-very-soon, we’d love a new pair of Jacks…or a pair of TOMS sunglasses…or a Votivo candle…you get our drift. Pretty sure our moms would love these, too! They’re all available at our fave boutique, Sole Statesboro. Call 912-764-7463 to order – mention GLITTER and get 10% off.
Is there really anything better than the Met Gala? The best, most unique fashion statements on our fave celebs. What’s not to love? This years theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”An upcoming exhibition focusing on hand vs machine made fashion.
